Colindale tube station

Colindale is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Barnet. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 4 at the Colindale Avenue. In the year 2011 there were 4.13 million passengers these of the Northern Line station.

The station was opened on 18 August 1924 together with the extension of Hendon Central to Edgware. An air raid destroyed the original in 1940, designed by Stanley Heaps station building. Then it was replaced by an existing wooden temporary. The present building dates from the year 1962.

In the vicinity are the Royal Air Force Museum, and the Peel Centre, the training center for the Metropolitan Police.
