Comix Zone

Comix Zone is a console game that was published in 1995 by the company Sega for the Sega Mega Drive. Several ports, including for the Game Boy Advance, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2 ( as part of the Sega Mega Drive Collection ) and the Virtual Console appeared about ten years later.

Description

In this game, it is a pretty easy -held Beat 'em up with Jump' n 'Run and adventure elements. The main character, Sketch Turner, a comic book artist, who was trapped in his own work, moves through a graphically illustrated environment that consists of individual small rooms, each of which contains one or more opponents, or in which a mystery to be solved. Here, you can collect a small amount of items that are either solving a puzzle, or bring advantages in combat.

The special feature of this game is the appearance of the hero and the environment. One moves in a comic layout, which consists of several next to each other and arranged in panels. Enemies and items are partially into drawn or erased from the outside through an imaginary artist. The uneven panel size often determines the player, in which direction it moves further on a comic page (you can see normally a part of the environment panel, which is designed to facilitate the decision), there is only a limited linearity in the game.
