CONMEBOL

The CONMEBOL (Portuguese Confederação Sul - Americana de Futebol, Spanish Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol, German: South American Football Confederation ) is the continental federation of national football associations of South America. Equal official languages ​​are Portuguese and Spanish. The CONMEBOL was founded on July 9, 1916 and has its headquarters in Luque Paraguay, near the capital Asunción. The abbreviation CONMEBOL was originally used in telegraphic communication: Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol.

The CONMEBOL held since 1916, the Copa America for national teams, the South American football championship. The rhythm changed frequently, since 2007 to the Copa América held every four years.
