Connie Nielsen
Connie Inge -Lise Nielsen ( born July 3, 1965 in Frederikshavn ) is a mainly active in the U.S. Danish actress.
Life and career
When Nielsen was ten years old, her family moved to a small village named Elling near Frederikshavn. At 15, she made her first acting experience in a cabaret. She has a dance and vocal training and is fluent in German, English, Swedish, French and Italian.
With 18 years Nielsen moved to Paris and lived later in Rome, Milan, South Africa and New York City to finally buy a house in Italy. At this time she also played in several films with their breakthrough, however, came only in 1997 with The Devil's Advocate. This was followed by large roles in Mission to Mars and Gladiator (both 2000).
Personal
Nielsen now lives with her son in New York. It is with Lars Ulrich, the drummer of the Danish heavy metal band Metallica, romantically involved. On 21 May 2007 Nielsen launched the first joint son in San Francisco to the world.
