Coolamon Shire

Coolamon is located in the south of the state in the Murrumbidgee region, about 500 km southwest of the city of Sydney, 290 km north- west of Canberra and 480 km north-east of Melbourne. The area includes 28 districts and towns: Ashbridge, Jerry Berry, Berry Jerry North, Brushwood, Carlisle Park, Cowabbie, Cowabbie West, Derain, Dulah, Kindra, Kinilabah, Methul, Murrulebale, Pamandi, Rannock, Walleroobie, Winchendon Vale, Yarranjerry and parts of Ardlethan, Beckom, Coolamon, Ganmain, Grong Grong, kamarah, Marrar, Matong, Mimosa and Mirrool. The seat of the Shire Council is located in Coolamon in the south of the LGA, where about 1,300 inhabitants.

Management

The Coolamon Shire Council has nine members, who are elected by the residents of the LGA. Coolamon is not divided into districts. From the circle of Councillor also the Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council recruited.
