Corbett Denneny

Charles Corbett " Corb " Denneny ( born January 25, 1894 in Cornwall, Ontario, † January 16, 1963 ) was a Canadian ice hockey player ( center ), who from 1917 to 1928 for the Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League played.

Career

Denneny always stood in the shadow of his older brother Cy Denneny. But no other player was in the squad of so many high class teams in Toronto.

After two years with the Cobalt Mines McKinley in the CoMHL he came to the Toronto Shamrocks in the National Hockey Association. A year later, he moved in 1915 to the Toronto Blue Shirts, the then top team in Toronto. After it had come again and again to disputes between Blueshirts owner Edward J. Livingstone and the NHA, the team was excluded from Toronto and Corb Denneny moved to his birthplace to the Ottawa Senators. To settle the disputes in the NHA, founded the owner of four teams, the National Hockey League and joined Livingston from.
