Côte-d'Or

The department of Côte- d'Or [ kotdɔ ː ʀ ] is a French department of order number 21 It is in the east of the country in the Burgundy region, and is named after one dominated by viticulture geological escarpment edge which runs south from Dijon via Beaune.

Geography

The department is bordered to the north by the Aube department in north- east by the department of Haute- Marne, on the east by the department of Haute- Saône, in the southeast on the department of Jura, to the south by the department of Saône- et- Loire, on the west by the Nièvre département and Yonne.

Through the department of the Saone River flow and the Seine. It forms the northeastern part of the Burgundy region.
