Craigellachie, Moray

Craigellachie (Gaelic: Creag Eileachaidh ) is a village in the Scottish unitary authority Moray. It lies at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Fiddich about 3 km northeast of Charlestown of Aberlour and 20 km south-southeast of Elgin. Craigellachie forms the southern boundary of Strathspey and belonged to the territory of the clan Grant, whose battle cry was: nearly at Craigellachie!

The village is surrounded by the major whiskey Speyside region and is home to Craigellachie and Macallan two active distilleries. For this reason, Craigellachie is also one of the Speyside Way stations.
