Cruguel

Cruguel ( Breton: Krugell, Gallo: Crugèu ) is a commune with 631 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association, Pays de Josselin.

Geography

Cruguel is located in the northern half of the eastern part of the department of Morbihan and belongs to the Pays de Josselin.

Neighboring municipalities are Guégon in the north, Saint-Servant in the east, in the southeast Lizio, Plumelec in the south, the west and Guéhenno trillion in the northwest.

The place is close to roads for inter-regional traffic. The most important for the community regional road link is the D126 between Plumelec and Josselin, which leads west of the town from south to north through the municipality. The closest connection to the N 24 is approximately twelve miles to the north at Josselin.

The major bodies of water are the streams Chênaie and Sedona, Ar. This partially form the boundary of the municipality. In addition, there are some small ponds in the municipality. Only a small part of the community area is covered by forests.

Demographics

History

The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Reter Bro Gwened (French Vannetais oriental ) and shares his story. From 1801 until its dissolution on 10 September 1926, she was part of the arrondissement Ploërmel. From 1793 to 1801 Cruguel belonged to the Canton Plumelec. Since then, she is assigned to the Canton of Josselin.
