Billio

Trillion ( Breton: Bilioù ) is a commune with 395 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association, Saint -Jean- Brévelay Communauté.

Geography

Trillion is in the southern part of Brittany in the center of the department of Morbihan and belongs to the Pays de Pontivy.

Neighboring municipalities are Guéhenno in the northwest and north, Cruguel in the east, Plumelec in the south and Saint -Jean- Brévelay in the southwest.

Through the eastern part of the municipality of the D126, the D10 of Vannes and Saint -Jean- Brévelay runs as a link from Vannes on Plumelec to Josselin and the western part to Josselin. Important for inter-regional traffic is the N24 from Lorient to Rennes. This extends several kilometers north of the community and can be reached via Guéhenno.

Demographics

History

The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro - Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Reter Bro Gwened (French Vannetais oriental ) and shares his story. From 1801 until its dissolution on 10 September 1926, she was part of the arrondissement Ploërmel. From 1793 until its dissolution in 1801 trillion belonged to the Canton Plumelec. Since then, the church is assigned to the District of Saint -Jean- Brévelay.
