Currency Symbols (Unicode block)

The Unicode block currency mark ( currency symbol, U 20 A0 to U 20 CF) contains many currency symbols that do not consist of letters or characters of the normal local languages ​​(ie, for example, not DM for D- Mark, S for Schilling, CHF for Swiss francs or руб. ruble ). Nor does it include the currency sign $, ¢, £, ¥, and the general currency sign ¤ that ( the dollar sign ) and ISO 8859-1 (the other characters mentioned ) have already been included in ASCII and thus in the first two Unicode blocks ( basic Latin and Latin -1 supplement) are staying, and the Baht ( ฿ ), the Riel ( ៛ ), the Rial ( ﷼ ) and the Afghani ( ؋ ), which are also occupied otherwise.
