Custódio Miguel Dias de Castro ( born May 24, 1983 in Guimaraes, Portugal) is a Portuguese footballer who currently plays for SC Braga.

Career

Association

Custódio began his professional career with Sporting Lisbon. He was trained as an attacking midfielder, but can be used on all midfield positions. In 2007, he moved to Russia to FK Dynamo Moscow. In 2008 he returned to Portugal and joined his hometown club Vitória Guimarães. After two seasons, he moved on to league rivals SC Braga. In the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League 2010/11 he scored in the second leg against Benfica with a header the decisive 1-0, prompting his club reached the final against FC Porto because of 1:2 in the first leg and the away goals rule.

National

On June 2, 2012 Custódio debuted in the Portuguese national team after he was nominated by coach Paulo Bento surprising for the 2012 European Championship.
