CV Tenerife

Club Voleibol Tenerife was a Spanish women's volleyball club from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, who played in the Spanish Superliga.

History

The CV Tenerife was founded in 1981 and played since 1987 in the Spanish Superliga. The women dominated the league since 1990 and were 1992, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006 Spanish champion. In addition, Spanish Cup victories came in 1991, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Also in Europe the CV Tenerife was a top team and was founded in 2004 Champions League winners. The team also went to the sponsor under the name " Afelsa Tenerife ", " Marichal Tenerife ", " TuBillete.com Tenerife " and " Fígaro Peluqueros Tenerife ". 2011, the club was disbanded because of financial difficulties.
