Daisuke Ichikawa

Daisuke Ichikawa (市 川 大佑Japanese, Daisuke Ichikawa, born May 14, 1980 in Shimizu, Shizuoka Prefecture) is a Japanese football player. It usually comes as a full-back or in midfield for use.

Ichikawa played since 1996 in the youth team of the J- League club Shimizu S-Pulse, where he is under contract today. Even at the high school times, he then made his debut as a professional in the J-League in the Game against Consadole Sapporo, on the 21st of March 1998. His first goal he scored then on 14 November of the same year against JEF Ichihara.

Already on 1 April 1998, he then gave his debut in the national team in the match against South Korea. He was at that time 17 years and 322 days, the youngest player in the National Japanese football history. He was not appointed to the squad for the World Cup 1998.
