Consadole Sapporo

Consadole Sapporo (Japaneseコンサドーレ 札幌, Konsadōre Sapporo ) is a Japanese football club from the city of Sapporo. Currently the club plays in the first division of Japan, the J. League Division 1

Club history

The club was founded in 1935 as Toshiba Horikawa -chō Soccer- bu (東芝 堀川 町 サッカー 部, dt " Toshiba Horikawa Club " ), 1980 in Toshiba Soccer- bu (東芝 サッカー 部, dt " Toshiba Club " ) renamed and consisted in this form until 1995. in the second division two years later it rose in 1978, even in the first division. Originally played the Toshiba SC in Kawasaki, where at that time also Verdy Kawasaki (now Tokyo Verdy ) played. Therefore, the parent company Toshiba was considering a move to another city and decided in favor of Sapporo.
