Dalovice (Karlovy Vary District)

The municipality Dalovice ( German Dallwitz ) is located in the Carlsbad area and has about 2,000 residents. Dalovice is an eastern suburb of Carlsbad, which is adjacent to the urban area and at the mouth of the creek Vitický Brook (also called Dalovický Brook ) is located in the Eger.

History

The village Dalovice originally belonged to the fiefs of the Loket Castle. The original fortress was founded by archaeological finds at the end of the 12th century. The first written records date from the years 1457 and 1462 as " de Stalticz " and were later mentioned " de Talticz ". Later, the members of the House of Hýzrl Chodov acquired the village. On February 6, 1503 Dalovice was besieged and conquered by troops of the Lords of silt. After that, the old fort was abandoned. The original agricultural village changed in the 19th century - after the discovery of kaolin - his face. 1804, the first stone, later a ceramic manufactory was founded. In addition, the first brick factories, a brewery, a mill and a sawmill emerged.

The community was visited by some eminent personalities, so the imperial army commander Octavio Piccolomini; nine Johann Wolfgang Goethe was visiting. The poet Theodor Körner cured here from his injuries from the Napoleonic Wars.
