Damiano Vannucci

Damiano Vannucci ( born July 30, 1977) is a football player from San Marino and the most capped player in his country. He began his career in 1997 at AS Real Misano in Italy and was then active in various Italian amateur teams, with whom he played among others in the Excellenza and Promozione. In 2003, he joined the SS Virtus, with which he in the Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio, the national championship of San Marino, acted. The following year he moved to AC Juvenes / Dogana and then to the AC Libertas, where he played for three years. In 2008 he moved back to the Italian amateur leagues to Perticara Calcio. From there, he later returned one years back to his homeland and played there ever since for SS Virtus, AC Juvenes / Dogana and SP La Fiorita.

National

His first international game he played on 9 October 1996 at 0:3 against Belgium in the World Cup qualifiers. He also belonged to the team that suffered the heaviest defeat with 00:13 on 6 September 2006 against Germany. On 11 February 2009, he surpassed his 49th game with the previously operated by Mirco Gennari record and is now the sole record holder San Marino. He took with San Marino 1996-2009 on all European and World Championship qualifiers in part, but never qualified for a World Cup or European Championship with San Marino. The only win was in a friendly match on 28 April 2004 in Serravalle 1-0 against Liechtenstein.
