Dan Tyminski

Daniel " Dan " Tyminski ( born June 20, 1967 in Rutland, Vermont) is an American bluegrass musician (vocals, mandolin and guitar).

Career

Tyminski is best known as a member of the band Union Station, which started with the bluegrass singer Alison Krauss since 1994 numerous albums. His solo projects to date includes recorded with his then newly formed their own group, the Dan Tyminski band recorded two albums, Carry Me Across the Mountain ( 2000) and Wheels ( 2008), the latter. For his musical activity, he has now won numerous Grammys, among other things, for his version of Man of Constant Sorrow, known from the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou? - A Mississippi Odyssey.

In 2013, he gained great notoriety when he sang the song Hey Brother of the Swedish DJ Avicii from the album True. Hey Brother reached # 1 on the singles charts of all countries, including Germany, Austria and Sweden.
