Daniel Wolf

Daniel Wolf (born 4 May 1985 in Vienna) is an Austrian football player at the position of a midfielder on the left or right winger.

Career

Wolf began his career in the youth teams and the Academy of VfB Admira Wacker Mödling. From 2003 through to 2004 he was included in the first team of Südstadt residents. The beginning of 2004 it was awarded to Upper Austria to LASK Linz, but he already in the middle of the same year left again to return to the Südstädtern. In the years 2004 to 2006 Wolf played in his parent club and arrived there on 14 campaigns in the Austrian Football Bundesliga.

First appearances in Italy

After two years, Wolf got the low Austrians an offer from Italy and moved in 2006 to the AC Pistoiese. These sold it in 2007 again, and so transferred Wolf to Serie B for playing there FC Piacenza, where he signed a contract until June 2011. On 8 November 2008, Wolf injured in the 1-0 away win over Brescia Calcio in a collision with an opponent so hard that he had an open fracture of the patella. Due to this injury he was sidelined for several months, but was still at the end of the same season to a short-term mission when he came on 30 May 2009 in a 2-1 away win over Vicenza Calcio in 46 minutes for Stefano Avogadri.

Returning to Austria

In January 2011, Wolf broke up his contract with Piacenza and returned to his native Austria. It was followed by a trial with FK Austria Wien, Vienna saw, however, by a commitment from. On 17 February 2011 it was announced that Daniel Wolf back to his training - and replaced old club FC Trenkwalder Admira. His contract will initially run until the summer of 2011, with an option for extension.

Furthermore, Wolf came to the previous eight missions in the U-21 national team of Austria.
