Daniela Dodean

Daniela Dodean ( born January 13, 1988 in Arad ) is a Romanian table tennis player. Repeatedly won the European Championship.

Career

Youth

Already in her youth scored Daniela Dodean numerous successes. She won at the European Youth Championships seven gold and three silver medals:

  • 2002 Cadets: Gold in singles, silver in doubles with Elizabeta Samara
  • 2003 Cadets: Silver in singles, gold with the team
  • 2005 Juniors: Gold in singles, a double with Elizabeta Samara and in mixed with Marcos Freitas (Portugal )
  • 2006 Juniors: Gold in singles, silver in doubles with Elizabeta Samara, gold with the team

There are also seven first places and two second places at world junior tournaments (World Junior Circuit).

Adult

Even in the adult area Daniela Dodean was at the European Championships, for which she was always nominated since 2007, repeatedly and successfully. In doubles with Elizabeta Samara, she won the title in 2009 and 2011 came to the final. With the women's team in 2011 she came to the final.

Since 2006 she has participated in all World Championships, came so far but not in the near medal ranks. In 2008 she qualified for participation in the Summer Olympics.

Five times (2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011 ) it was Romanian Champion in single, double, she won for the first time in 2004 with Cristiana Cont and since 2006 (until 2012 ), each time with Elizabeta Samara. In Mixed brought them twice so far with Adrian Dodean the title.

Daniela Dodean played with the Italian clubs ASD TT Sandonatese and sterile Garda Castel Goffredo. In 2011 she moved to the Werner Schlager Academy in Schwechat near Vienna and joined the Club SVS Ströck (Lower Austria ).

Private

In July 2013 Daniela Dodean married the Portuguese table tennis national player João Monteiro.

Daniela Dodeans sister Andrea has played since the 2012/13 season at the Second Bundesliga TTC Optolyth optics Wendelstein. She also has a brother, Adrian, who is competing for the SV Union Velbert.
