Danish Music Awards

The Danish Music Awards ( abbreviated DMA, also known as Danish Grammy ) are the highest music awards in Denmark for popular music. They are awarded annually in various categories.

History

The 1989 launched Music Prize is awarded by the Danish Department of IFPI. Until 1990 it was called IFPI pinches ( IFPI price), then to 2000 Grammy Dansk (Danish Grammy ). The current name comes from Danish Music Awards 2001 as the Højesteret decided that as the organizer of the U.S. Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy has exclusive rights to the name Grammy. The price distribution is usually broadcast live on Danish television ( Danmarks Radio ).
