Danville Fighting Saints

The Danville Fighting Saints were an American ice hockey franchise of the All- American Hockey League from Danville, Illinois.

History

The Danville Fighting Saints took to the 1986/87 season as one of five founding members of the match operation in the All-American Hockey League. Earlier, a team from Danville to the predecessor League Continental Hockey League had participated. In its premiere season, the Fighting Saints, first occupied the first place in the regular season and won the playoffs in the AAHL Championship. In the following two seasons, the Fighting Saints were not able to build on the success and finally presented the 1989 operating a game after the All- American Hockey League had previously been dissolved.

Last played with the Danville Wings from 1994 to 2004 a team in the Junior Leagues North American Hockey League and United States Hockey League.
