Darkwell

Darkwell is a gothic metal band from Innsbruck ( Austria ) and was founded by Roland Wurzer and Roman Wienicke 1999.

Career

Darkwell got back in its inception a record deal with Napalm Records. The following year they were with Tristania and The Sins of Thy Beloved on tour.

Due to their success, they were then invited to the Wave -Gotik-Treffen 2003 and even afterwards went on tour with Graveworm and Vintersorg. On the first two albums contributed yet Alexandra Pittracher the vocals on, then broke up but from the band due to personal and musical differences in 2003. It was replaced by Stephanie Meier. In 2004, Darkwell new cast with Atrocity, Leaves' Eyes, and Battlelore on tour in Europe even at the Metal Female Voices Fest included an appearance. Videos of the band were (eg VIVA ) played on music channels.

After delayed by two years release of the album Metat [r ] on the activities eased further. The last concert took place in 2007, the band was, however, not yet officially dissolved.
