Metal Female Voices Fest
The Metal Female Voices Fest is a Metal festival in Wieze, a district of the municipality Lebbeke in East Flanders (Belgium ). It is a Metal festival dedicated to bands with front women. It took place in 2009 on October 17 and 18 in October Hallen, whose great hall comprises 4000m ².
Overview
The increasing popularity of metal bands with front women also gave the Metal Female Voices Fest growing popularity. So finally changed the location of Ten Weyngaert in Forest on the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels on October halls in Wieze. The smaller hall Ten Weyngaert but is still used for the warm-up show. In 2007, the band Leaves' Eyes took advantage of the atmosphere to accommodate a live DVD ( We Came with the Northern Winds / En Saga I Belgia ), which was published in 2009.

2009 occurred: Tarja Doro, Leaves' Eyes, Epica, Delain, Midnattsol, Krypteria, Flowing Tears, Autumn, Amberian Dawn, Kivimetsän Druidi, Manic Movement, UnSun, Whyzdom, Pinky Doodle Poodle, Trail of Tears, Van Canto, Darzamat, stream of Passion, deadlock, Lahannya CORONATUS and To- Mera.
2009 were also awarded for the first time MFVF Awards. Tarja Turunen was awarded in the category best & beautiful voice, Angela Gassow in the category best grunts and growls, Epica for the best show, Doro Pesch for their musical career, Van Canto best newcomer, Midnattsol as the largest " MFVF " hope, "En Saga I Belgia "by Leaves' Eyes as the best DVD, " Call Me When You are Sober "by Evanescence was awarded best Video, " The Heart of Everything " by Within Temptation as best album and" Dark Passion Play "by Nightwish for the best artwork.

Since 2007, the Metal Female Voices Fest begins a few days before the actual concert days with a warm-up show, compete in the even less known bands against each other. The winner is entitled to the honor of opening the next year following the Metal Female Voices Fest. The Metal Female Voices Fest VI Warm-Up Show (2008 ) won Whyzdom.
