Dave Snuggerud

Dave W. Snuggerud ( born June 20, 1966 in Minnetonka, Minnesota ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Buffalo Sabres, San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League.

Career

Snuggerud first played in the 1984/85 season with the Minnesota North Stars Junior in the United States Hockey League. In the following season he moved to the University of Minnesota, where he spent three years with a one year break, which he spent at the U.S. National Team, to prepare for the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, until the end of season 1988 / 89 played.

After him, the Buffalo Sabres had selected in second position already in the NHL Supplemental Draft in 1987, he moved to the 1989/90 season in the NHL with the Sabres. There he established himself immediately in the root squad and played in his first two seasons in each case all 80 in the regular season. In the course of the season 1991/92 he is for Wayne Presley to the San Jose Sharks newly established. In San Jose, however, the Americans could not build on the strong performances from his first two NHL seasons and was delivered to the Philadelphia Flyers after only nine months in December 1992. After the 1992/93 season began, the trained right winger from the entire game year 1993/94. His last season he played in 1994/95 for the Minnesota Moose of the International Hockey League, before he ended his career for good.
