Career

Dawid Bedschanjan comes from Solnechnopodolsk and began as a teenager with weight lifting. He is now a student at the State Agrarian University in Stavropol.

Even as a junior he belonged to the Russian top class and represented his country for the first time in 2007 at an international championship. He finished it at the Junior European Championship (U 20) in Puerto de la Cruz / Spain in the heavyweight 377 kg ( 164-212 ) vies 3rd place. At the Junior World Championship ( U-20 ) in June 2008 in Cali Dawid Bedschanjan achieved in a duel 375 kg ( 165-219 ), but only enough for fourth place. In the Russian Championship 2011, he once again increased. He scored there 415 kg ( 185-230 ) and came with this performance behind Dmitri Klokow 427 kg ( 195-232 ) and Vladimir Smortschkow, 420 kg ( 195-225 ) the 3rd place. In November of the same year he exhibited in Belgorod as part of the President's Cup also set a world record in pushing 238 kg. He won there in the heavyweight 421 kg ( 183-238 ) ahead of his compatriot Gennady Muratov, 406 kg ( 185-221 ).

2012 Dawid Bedschanjan was Russian seniors champion for the first time. He won the heavyweight 410 kg ( 180-230 ) before Gennadi Muratov, 403 kg ( 182-221 ). In Antalya, he was also European champion in the heavyweight division. His performance in the duel was there 405 kg ( 185-220 ), with whom he won ahead of his compatriot Maxim Schejko, 401 kg ( 185-216 ). At the Olympics this year in London but was not used.
