David Blewitt
David E. Blewitt ( born August 7, 1928 in Los Angeles, California, † July 8, 2010 in Sherman Oaks, California ) was an American editor.
Life
Blewitt began his career in the film business as a cameraman and assistant editor in the years 1963/1964 for the TV series Hollywood and the Stars. In both positions, he was involved in until the 1970s mainly due to a variety of documents.
For his contribution of the television documentary The Making of a President: 1964 Blewitt was awarded an Emmy in 1966. 1975 and 1978 Blewitt was awarded by the American Cinema Editors Eddie Award, respectively.
For the film The grand finale Blewitt in 1983 was awarded a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Editing. In 2005, he was honored with the ACE Career Achievement Award.
Blewitt died due to complications of his disease, Parkinson 's disease. He was married and has one daughter.
