Dawn Primarolo

Dawn Primarolo ( born 2 May 1954 in London) is a British politician of the Labour Party.

Life

After the visit of Thomas Bennett Community College, she studied social sciences at the University of the West of England ( UWE) and the University of Bristol and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA Social Science ) from. Between 1985 and 1987 she worked as a member of the Council of the County of Avon in local politics.

In the general election of 11 June 1987, she was first elected as an MP in the House of Commons and is representing the constituency of Bristol South since then. 1989, there was an internal party scandal when the then MPs and party colleague John Reid made ​​sexually suggestive comments about them. During her Parliament membership she was initially 1992-1994 spokeswoman of the opposition to health and then to 1997 for the Treasury.
