Dax McCarty
Michael Dax McCarty ( born April 30, 1987 in Winter Park, Florida) is an American football player. Since the 2011 season, he plays for the New York Red Bulls.
Career
College
Dax McCarty played from 2004 to 2005 for the national team of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In these two years, he completed 45 games and scored 4 goals. He was inducted into the best eleven of the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2005. In addition to the college he played for the Ajax Orlando Prospects in the USL Premier Development League.
FC Dallas
In MLS SuperDraft 2006, he was drafted by FC Dallas and came as Generation Adidas players to the MLS franchise. On 1 July 2006 he made his debut for the Texans. In the game against Chivas USA, he came on in the 85th minute.
In the 2007 season he came for the first time from the start to use. He scored a total of seven assists during the season and was the most successful in the team. Since the 2009 season, McCarty was a regular player in the middle of Dallas.
On 24 November 2010 he was selected by the Portland Timbers in the MLS expansion draft in 2010 as the first player. The Timbers then traded it against Rodney Wallace and gave their pick in the fourth round of the MLS SuperDraft 2011.
D.C. United
The team from Washington, D.C. McCarthy received a regular place and was captain of the team. His first game he completed on February 7, 2011 in a preseason game against the U -20 national team of Canada. On 19 March 2011, he made his league debut for DC. On 27 June 2011 he transferred in exchange for Dwayne De Rosario to the New York Red Bulls.

For the Red Bulls, he completed on July 2, his first league game for his new club.
National
As part of the U.S. U -20 he took in 2007 at the Junior World Cup in Canada in part. When CONCACAF Men's Pre- Olympic Tournament 2008, the qualifying tournament for the CONCACAF Olympic Summer Games in 2008, he reached the final of the U- 23 of the United States and was selected in the Best Team of the Tournament.
With the U- 23, he did not come out the first round at the Summer Olympic Games in 2008.
His first cap for the national football team of the United States, he completed on 14 November 2009 against Slovakia. In a friendly match against Chile on 22 January 2011, he was captain of the team.
