Dean Devlin
Dean Devlin ( born August 27, 1962 in New York City ) is an American film producer, screenwriter, and former actor.
Life and work
His mother was the actress Pilar Seurat died in 2001, his father Don Devlin was a film producer.
Dean Devlin began his career in film as a supporting actor in the early 1980s. He played primarily small role in individual episodes of various television series such as Happy Days. In 1985, he took a role in the movie Real Genius. For more of such engagements followed, in 1990, he was seen in a supporting role in Roland Emmerich's Moon 44.
The collaboration with Roland Emmerich intensified as Devlin in 1992 made his debut as a screenwriter with the story to Emmerich's Universal Soldier. This science fiction film meant for both the breakthrough in Hollywood. Her next film together was in 1994 Stargate, worked for the Devlin as a producer. In Independence Day and Godzilla, this cooperation repeated, Devlin wrote the screenplays and served as producer.
