Dean Sylvester

Dean Sylvester ( born December 30, 1972 in Weymouth, Massachusetts ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Buffalo Sabres and Atlanta Thrashers in the National Hockey League.

Career

Sylvester played with three years from 1991 to 1994 at Kent State University and for one year from 1994 to 1995 at Michigan State University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. During this time he had been selected in the NHL Supplemental Draft 1993 second overall position of the San Jose Sharks.

After completing his college education, the right winger joined the 1995/96 season first in the East Coast Hockey League to the Mobile Mysticks, but was still taken during the season by the San Jose Sharks under contract.
