Delbrücker SC

The Delbrücker SC ( officially: Delbrücker Sport-Club eV ) is a football club based in Delbrück in the Paderborn district. The club was founded in 1950 and has about 970 members. The club colors are black and white. Home stadium is the home ground Laumeskamp at the Boker road.

The first men's team of the club played from 2005 to 2008 in the time of his fourth division Oberliga Westfalen and then in the 2008/ 09 season in the fünftklassigen NRW league. Since 2009/2010 the first team plays in the sechstklassigen Westphalia league. Once the DSC took part in the DFB Cup.

History

The predecessor clubs

Even before the founding of the DSC football was played in Delbrück. In 1920, the DJK Delbrück was founded. This association of German Catholic Youth force related wore only from friendly matches against teams from the region. Five years later, the football department as Ballspielverein Delbrück became independent. The new club joined the West German Game Association and participated in championship matches. Early years (1950 to 1980)

League and DFB Cup (2004 to 2009)

The Westphalia League season 2009/10 was marked by a relegation battle. With a two point lead at first relegated Borussia Emsdetten the DSC could prevent a further descent. In the following years, the Delbrücker could establish itself in the middle of the Westphalia league.

More Teams

The second men's team played from 2006 to 2009 in the district league. Since relegation in 2009 the team compete in the Paderborn district League A. Around 500 of the 970 club members are active in the youth field. The A- and C- youth of the DSC compete in the national league.
