Delio Rossi

Delio Rossi ( * November 26, 1960 in Rimini, Italy ) is an Italian football coach.

Career

From 1993 to 2005 Rossi coached the Italian clubs Salernitana Calcio, U.S. Foggia, Pescara Calcio, Genoa, U.S. Lecce and Atalanta Bergamo. With Salernitana and Lecce he succeeded each promotion to the Serie A.

In 2005, Delio Rossi the post of head coach at Lazio. In 2007, he led the team to third place and took Lazio in the 2007/ 08 season of the UEFA Champions League.

In November 2009, he broke Walter Zenga from as coach of Palermo, after a 0:7 swatter his team against Udinese Calcio however, he was released early from his contract on 28 February 2011 ..

He was replaced by Serse Cosmi, however had to leave his post in April 2011 again, Rossi then returned as a coach to Palermo. For the 2011/12 season he was replaced by Stefano Pioli, however.

Delio Rossi took over 8 November 2011 as coach of the dismissed Siniša Mihajlovic at Fiorentina and was given a contract until the summer of 2013 at Fiorentina.

After the Serbian player Adem Ljajić he shifted on 2 May 2012 at the game of the 36th round against Novara in the 32th minute with the score at 0-2, it provoked this, after which Rossi Ljajić attacked physically. That same evening, Rossi was sacked by the club chef Andrea della Valle with immediate effect.

In the 2012/13 season he coached Sampdoria.
