Denis Makarov

Denis Nikolaevich Makarov (Russian Денис Николаевич Макаров; born August 3, 1983 in Woskressensk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player, who was last at Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Denis Makarov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Chimik Woskressensk for whose first team he held until 2003, was active from 2000 in Wysschaja League, the second Russian league. Then the defender a season spent each in its league rivals THK Tver and crystal Elektrostal, before 2004/05, made ​​his debut in the Super League was towards the end of the season, as he stood in a game for his hometown club Chimik Woskressensk on the ice.

From 2005 to 2007 played for Severstal Cherepovets Makarov in the Super League, where he again finished the season 2006/ 07 at Chimik Woskressensk which had descended in the meantime in the Wysschaja league. Makarov spent two seasons at Spartak, where he completed 85 KHL games before joining in June 2012 within the League to Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg. For Awtomobilist he completed 23 KHL games before his contract was terminated at the end of December 2012.
