Denís Milar

Denís Milar, full name Denís Milar Alfredo Otero ( born June 15, 1952 ( according to other sources: August 20, 1952), Rocha ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

The 1.76 -meter offensive athlete Milar was born born as the second-oldest of eight siblings and eldest son of the family in the Barrio Cecilio in Costa Rocha. Having first played in the so-called baby fútbol at La Estiva, he joined at the age of eleven years the Club Nacional in Rocha. Even as a 14 - year-old he enlisted as a replacement for injured players in the first team and made his debut in 1966 in La Liga, where he played two matches. Afterwards, however, he returned first to the youth team. At age 16, he was again part of the first team. The 17 -year-old Milar then moved to the Rampla Juniors. There he played until the age of 20 years. After he was placed at the beginning of his career as number 7 on the outside right position, the coach of the Montevideaner put it, both on an inside of the pitch shifted position as well as a central striker. Milar stood from 1973 to 1975 in the first division squad of Liverpool FC. In his first season at Liverpool Milar scored ten goals in the league, in the second he met in his own words 16 times, other sources of lead 17 goals. He was in that year behind Morena second in the scoring charts. In the third season at Liverpool he scored again seven times. In 1974 he was runner-up with his team of Uruguay.

From Liverpool FC Milars led the way in February to Spain in 1975 to FC Granada. There he completed a contract for three seasons. Following an interim return to Uruguay, Milar was active for the Spaniards in the seasons 1975/76 bis 1977/78 in the sequence starting in July 1975. His commitment system was viewed by the press before the season as the most important gain for the upcoming season. In Granada he completed in the debut season in which his employer descent into the Second Division, 21 matches and scored three goals. The following two second division seasons have for him two games ( no goals ) and 16 games ( one goal) from.

It was followed by a 1979 -ending to 1981 stop at Nacional Montevideo. With the Bolsos 1980 he won the Uruguayan championship and the Copa Libertadores.
