Denis O'Hare

Denis O'Hare ( born January 16, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri ) is an American actor, known for his winning the Tony Award for performance in the Broadway play Take Me Out, and his role as Russell Edgington in the television series True Blood. Life and career

Childhood and youth

Denis O'Hare was born on January 16, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Southfield, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. When he was 15 years old his family moved to the Wing Lake in Oakland. In his youth, O'Hare was a member of the school choir and at the age of twelve he had his first role in a production of the musical Show Boat. At 18, he moved to Chicago to study at Northwestern University theater.
