Dennis Darling

Dennis Darling ( born May 6, 1975 in Nassau ) is a retired Bahamian sprinter who specialized in the 400 -meter run.

With the Bahamian 4 x 400 - meter relay team, he finished seventh at the 1996 Olympic Games. At the World Athletics Championships 1997 in Athens, he started over 400 m, but did not come out the first round. He also ran the 4 x 100 - meter relay in the first qualifying round with a time of 39.09 s a national record. The squadron later divorced, however, from the semi-finals.

The greatest success of his career, he celebrated at the World Athletics Championships in Paris in 2003 by winning the bronze medal in the 4 x 400 - meter relay. Originally Darling min had finished fourth Avard Moncur, together with Nathaniel McKinney and Chris Brown in 3:00,53 behind the squadrons of the United States, France and Jamaica. However, after the subsequent disqualification of the U.S. season because of a doping offense their runner Calvin Harrison the Bahamian team advanced in the standings ahead of the third place.

At the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Budapest in 2004 Darling was with the Fifth Season. He was also a member of the Bahamian 4 x 400 - meter relay in Athens finished sixth at the 2004 Olympic Games, was itself but used only in the qualifying round.

Dennis Darling had a competition weight of 77 kg at a height of 1.83 kg. After his playing career, he took on a position as athletic trainer at the University of Texas- Pan American. His wife Tonique Williams-Darling and his cousin Frank Rutherford were also successful athletes. His younger brother Devard Darling plays as a wide receiver in the NFL.
