Dennis Gentenaar

Dennis Gentenaar ( born September 30, 1975 in Nijmegen) is a Dutch football goalkeeper.

Career

Gentenaar comes from the youth of NEC Nijmegen, where he served as a substitute goalkeeper since 1995/96. In the 2000 /01 season he made ​​it into the starting XI. Until that time, he completed only seven league games for NEC. Until he for season 2005/ 06 he remained in Nijmegen, before moving to the Bundesliga to Borussia Dortmund. After the failure of Roman Weidenfeller, convinced Gentenaar from 24 Gameday in 10 games for BVB with excellent parades and held the Dortmunder several times in the game. A total of nine goals conceded the goalkeeper in the Bundesliga. However, he had only one season in Dortmund and then went back to the Netherlands and joined the traditional club Ajax Amsterdam. There he was behind goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg number 2 to the end of his first season at Ajax Gentenaar celebrated his first title by winning the KNVB Cup. In summer 2012 he left Venlo after three years and joined Almere City FC.
