Rens van Eijden

Rens van Eijden ( born March 3, 1988 in Oss ) is a Dutch footballer who stands since 2009 with NEC Nijmegen in the Eredivisie under contract.

Career

Association

Rens van Eijden changed already in the D- Youth for top Dutch club PSV Eindhoven and then went through all youth departments. In the years 2006 to 2008 he played for Jong PSV, the second team of the club. On 11 April 2007 he first played for the first team of PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Champions League away at Liverpool. However, it took until April 2008 until van Eijden received his first professional contract with the Dutch.

For the 2008/ 09 season he was loaned out to first division side Willem II Tilburg, for the 3-1 win at NAC Breda he made his first game in the Eredivisie on 14 September 2008. After good performances in the league van Eijden was engaged by NEC Nijmegen for the 2009/10 season.

National

2009 Rens van Eijden was called into the squad for the U-21 tournament in Toulon. Already in 2008 he made his debut in the B- team of the Oranje.
