Derek Peltier

Derek Peltier ( born March 14, 1985 in Plymouth, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who plays in the German Ice Hockey League for the Iserlohn Roosters since 2011.

Career

Derek Peltier began his career in the United States Hockey League at the Cedar Rapids Roughriders and then moved for four years in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, the team from the University of Minnesota. In 2004 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected in the sixth round to 184 instead of the Colorado Avalanche. For the season 2007/ 08, the Americans moved to the Lake Erie Monsters in the American Hockey League. Here he played three years and scored 33 points scorer. In the seasons 2008/ 09 and 2009/ 10, it was furthermore used 14 times in the Avalanche in the National Hockey League. The 2010/11 season Peltier spent at the Peoria Rivermen in the AHL.

For the 2011/12 season signed a contract with the Peltier Iserlohn Roosters of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Here he scored in 45 games 10 scorer points ( 3 goals ) in just 14 penalty minutes. During the current season, his contract was extended for another season.
