Deressa Chimsa

Deressa Chimsa ( Deressa Chimsa Edae; born November 21, 1976) is an Ethiopian marathon runner.

In 2008 he finished seventh in the Dubai Marathon in 2:10:16 h, and in 2009 he improved at the same place as second in 2:07:54 h At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin, he did not reach the goal, though he still was in sixth place at kilometer 40.

In 2010 he won the Daegu Marathon in 2:08:45 h following year he was fourth in Dubai and eighth in the Boston Marathon.

In 2012, he was with his personal best of 2:05:42 h eighth in Dubai and won the Prague Marathon.

On October 28, 2012, he was with a time of 2:06:55 h second in the marathon in Frankfurt am Main.
