DeSoto Adventurer

The DeSoto Adventurer was a car that was manufactured by Chrysler under the DeSoto automobile brand in the years 1956 until 1960. During this time, the Adventurer was the top model of the brand. In 1956, he was offered only as a hardtop coupe, a convertible 1957, to 1960, a four-door hardtop model and a sedan.

1956

The similarity of the DeSoto models with the Chrysler models hurt the brand, as they drove the customer to Chrysler, where they got the almost identically -looking Windsor, where they did not have to fear, soon to stand there with a car a brand no longer in production.

In the last year of DeSoto, 1961, a model with two body styles was the only one available. Chrysler announced the closure of DeSoto in November 1960 known; production was maintained just long until those already pre DeSoto logos were installed.
