DeSoto Powermaster

The DeSoto Powermaster was an automobile, the Chrysler offered under the car brand DeSoto in the model years 1953 and 1954. The car was unveiled at DeSoto company's 25th anniversary and replaced both the entry level and the better-equipped Deluxe Custom.

The Powermaster was a great car that it as 2 - and 4 -door sedan was and as a 5- door station wagon. Were driven vehicles by Chrysler's in-line six -cylinder engine with 4038 cc capacity. In two years of production and an 8- seater sedan with folding seats was offered. The PowerMaster there was also on a longer chassis with a 3543 mm wheelbase, in contrast to the normal 6- seater sedan with 3188 mm wheelbase. A version with long chassis was used as the basis for the DeSoto taxi, which can be seen in many Hollywood films of the late 1930s to the mid -1950s.

The car also had a curved windshield that replaced the two-piece plate of earlier models. Room heater, electric clock, power brakes, power steering and whitewall tires were at extra charge.
