Deutsche Eislauf-Union

The German Ice Skating Union eV ( DEU ) is the sports federation for figure skating and ice dancing in Germany.

The German Ice Skating Union was founded in 1964 in Hamburg, initially represented the figure skating in the Federal Republic of Germany. Seat of the DEU is now Munich. 1990 merged the DEU with the German Figure Skating Association ( DELV ) of the GDR. The DEU was initially led by the Chairman, since 1998 of the President.

In the states of Brandenburg, Saxony -Anhalt and Schleswig -Holstein no national association exists at present for figure skating.

The German Ice Skating Union is member of the German Olympic Sports Confederation and the International Skating Union ( ISU).
