The airbase is a Diepholz as a military airfield and airfield classified airfield near Diepholz in Lower Saxony.
History
The airfield was taken in 1936 by the Wehrmacht in operation. From 1945, the Royal Air Force used the airfield for a short time to fly out prisoners of war in their homeland, the Allies designated the place as Airfield B.114. 1948 no flight operations took place already.
Since 1951, the Diepholzer Luftsportverein is resident on the premises.
In 1956 the Air Force airfield.
Since 1975, the airfield is also used for private recreational flying.
Motorsport
Eleven DTM and ITC races were held 1984-1996 on the site of the air base. The last 2720 meters long course was traveled counterclockwise and included parts of the taxiways, the apron and the start and runway on which the pit lane and the start - finish line were located.
