Dieter Lindner (athlete)

Dieter Lindner ( born January 18, 1937 in Nebra ) is a German athlete who at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, the silver medal in the 20 km walk won ( 1:31:14 h). He started in the joint German team for the GDR. Another highlight of his career was his victory at the European Championships 1966 ( 1:29:25,0 h).

Dieter Lindner competed for the SC progress Weissenfels ( Coach: Gerhard Busch village), later for the SC Chemie Halle ( Coach: Paul Ilisch ). In its competition time, he was 1.74 m tall and weighed 66 kg.
