Dillinja

Dillinja (* 1975 in Brixton, London, bourgeois Karl Francis ) is a British drum -and- bass DJ and producer, who continued to publish under the pseudonyms Capone, Cybotron, D -Type, Suburban Knights and Trinity. Dillinjas productions appear on his own label, Valve Recordings. Previously, he published already from labels such as Metalheadz, FFRR and Mo ' Wax.

Life

Living in Brixton Francis was inspired in the early 1990s by the young Jungle Scene to first own Breakbeat productions. His first productions he took on in 1991 and published in the following different pieces on smaller labels such as V Recordings. In 1994 he recorded the song " The Angels Fell " for Goldie's Metalheadz label, which then appeared on the compilation " Platinum Breakz " and made ​​him known to a wider audience for the first time. The English comedian and actor Sacha Baron Cohen used the track " Twist'em out" as the theme song of the Ali G Show. Dillinja published several times with his friend and label mate Lemon D. In the scene Dillinja is also known to be the world's first tailored specifically to drum and bass music, the to have designed and built Valve Sound System.
