Disney's Nine Old Men

Disney 's Nine Old Men is the name for a series of animated legends that had begun late 1920s until the mid- 1930s to work at the Walt Disney Studios. This title was awarded to his nine closest colleagues jokingly Disney, but is still used as a term for the intentioned people. Originally came the term of Franklin D. Roosevelt, so that the judges of the Supreme Court abused.

When exactly Walt Disney the term used for the first time, is not clear. Although some sources speak of the end of the 1930s or 1940s, it can be assumed that this happened around 1950 at the earliest. This is based on reason, that in the late 1930s artists such as Ollie Johnston had not attained any studio internal awareness and instead other artists making the decisions. In the 40s, in turn, some of the Nine Old Men made their military service, including Frank Thomas and Wolfgang Reitherman.
