Grant is the southeast corner of South Australia on the border with Victoria about 380 km southeast of the city of Adelaide and 370 kilometers west of Melbourne. The area includes 34 districts and towns: Allendale East, Black Fellows Caves, Burrungule, Canunda, Cape Douglas, Caroline, Carpenter Rocks, Caveton, Compton, Dismal Swamp, Donovans, Eight Mile Creek, German Creek, Glenburnie, Kongorong, Mil - Lel, Mingbool, Moorak, Mount Schank, Nene Valley OB Flat, Pelican Point Pleasant Park, Port Macdonnell, Racecourse Bay, Square Mile, Suttontown, Tantanoola, Tarpeena, Wandilo, Wepar, Worrolong, Wye and Yahl. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in the town of Mount Gambier, which forms its own LGA, which is enclosed by the Grant District.

Management

The Council of Grant has ten members, nine Councillor elected by the residents of the three Wards ( seven from the Central Ward, one each from Tarpeena and Port MacDonnell Ward). The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the City.
