Długie [ dwuɡjɛ ], also Długie Krzyżewo ( German: Dluggen, 1938-1945 Langenhöh ) is a scoring for community Kalinowo village in the northeastern Mazury in Polish Warmia - Masuria, Elk County.

The village is located 1.5 kilometers southwest of the town Kalinowo ( German calligrapher Owen ) on the highway leading from Elk to Augustów 16

History

The origin of the place name is derived from the Masurian term długi for German long from.

1656 were allied with Poland Tatars in large parts of Mazury and in Dluggen, the village was almost completely destroyed.

May 1874 was a new office district Dluggen formed in the course of a Prussian municipal reform, which includes the municipalities Burnien, Dluggen, Dlugoniedziellen, Duttken, Gronsken, Kolle popper, Krzysewen, Prawdzisken and Roman Owen and the Gutsbezirk Imionken. In Dluggen also the head office was located. First Chief Administrator was the landowner Przytulla.

1901 Dluggen had a total of 245 inhabitants.

On 24 June 1908, resolved as part of the creation of larger territorial units of the District Dluggen, rural communities Burnien, Dluggen, Kolle popper, Krzysewen and Prawdzisken came to the district of Kalli Owen. Dluggen was renamed on 16 July 1938 at the wake of the massive Germanization of place names Masurian, Polish or Lithuanian origin in Langenhöh. The name change followed the German translation of the word tribe długi in Dluggen in conjunction with the geographical condition of a small hill in the local area.

1939 Langenhöh ( Dluggen ) only 225 inhabitants.

After the end of World War II in 1945 to the German Empire ( East Prussia ) Langenhöh fell belonging ( Dluggen ) to Poland. The resident population was German, if they had not fled, largely expelled after 1945 or expelled and replaced in addition to the traditional Masurian minority by new residents from other parts of Poland. The place Langenhöh was renamed the Polish spelling of the historic city name Dluggen in Długie.
